Sergeant Cam Cross from the Hutt Valley Neighbourhood Policing team and some police friends will be visiting Hutt Hospital on Friday morning to share Christmas spirit and drop presents to young sick and injured patients.
The gifts are provided by The Warehouse and are purchased and wrapped on behalf of the police by Cam and his young family.
The donated presents are delivered by Cam and a small team from Police. Sergeant Cross says “It’s really good to visit the kids in hospital and do this for them, as it’s a tough time when you are sick and can’t celebrate at home.”
It is the fifth year the initiative has been in place and Cam sees it as an opportunity to put a smile on the faces of kids and families going through tough and challenging times by giving out presents and good wishes.
