The Police Media Team is continuing to work remotely during the current Alert Level restrictions.
While the Media Team is working remotely our hours of operation stay the same 6am – 11pm.
Media are asked to email media@police.govt.nz with their enquiry rather than calling. The normal phone numbers for contacting the media team will not be answered and any voice mail messages will not be cleared regularly.
Please note that during this time the team are continuing to experience a very high volume of enquiries. We are prioritising COVID-19 related enquiries, urgent enquiries, and important traffic updates.
If your enquiry is an event check, we will get to these as soon possible but we may not be able to respond immediately.
I can assure you that the team are working as quickly as possible and will respond to you when able.
