Media are invited at 11.30am today as a statement from Mei Fan's Chinese family is made available.
A media conference will be held at the Wellington Central Police Station, 41 Victoria Street, Wellington.

Detective Senior Sergeant John van den Heuvel will be available to provide an update on the investigation.
Media are to note that the Fan Rong Cheng (Mei's Brother), Fan Mao Cai (Mei's Uncle) and Fan Su Lan (Mei's Aunty) will not be available to answer questions from the media, however, a family statement will be available.
Media are also asked to note that the translator for Mei's family has asked not to be identified.
