The family of Senior Sergeant Hohi (Randel) Tikitiki have requested privacy for his funeral service.
His family understands there is both media and public interest but as this is a private occasion for his family, friends and colleagues only they request that media remain out of sight of the venue.
Randel’s family continues their request for privacy and have asked that those attending/leaving the funeral are not approached.
Canterbury Police request that media respect the family’s wishes and rights to privacy at this very sad time.
