1 min read

Attributable to Detective Senior Sergeant Martin Todd:

Two males have been arrested following an incident in Lower Hutt overnight.

The men approached an address around midnight and threatened the occupant with a firearm.

Police were called, and the two offenders were located and arrested in close proximity to the address.

The firearm, a replica pistol, was recovered.

The two Lower Hutt men, aged 32 and 31, are in custody to appear in the Hutt Valley District Court jointly charged with aggravated robbery.

The 31 year old is also charged with possession of a meth pipe and of an offensive weapon.

Police are not looking for anyone else, and it's believed the offenders and victim were known to each other.

As this is now before the courts, Police is unable to make any further comment.
