Police continue to work on the investigation into the shooting of Vaughan Te Moananui at Thames on 2 May 2015.
Detective Inspector Chris Page, Waikato CIB, said that while much of the gathering of information stage of the investigation is complete, there is still a lot of work involved in analysing what has happened to establish a clear picture of the sequence of events.
“In addition, the forensic examinations being undertaken by specialists across the country take time to complete. These are pivotal to being able to properly reconstruct the activity at Thames that day.”
“However, we continue to work with the family keeping them informed as milestones in the investigation are reached.” said Mr Page.
