At 7am this morning Police responded to an incident in Upper Hutt, where a man has damaged property.
The man is wanted in relation to a serious family violence incident last night.
When Police arrived, the alleged offender has run away and during the foot pursuit, has scaled a building to the rooftop.
Emergency services, including Police negotiators, are on the scene.
The focus is to apprehend him safely without any harm to him or others at the scene.
Keys Street is closed between Rongonui Street and Fergusson Drive to enable us to resolve the incident.
