At approximately 6.00pm last night, Sunday 8 November, Police were called to an incident in the Tautuku area.
As a result of the information received, Police have deployed the Armed Offenders Squad and a dog team.
Police have also placed cordons along Chaslands Highway to stop traffic travelling through the area.
Police would like to reassure the community in the nearby Papatowai and the wider area that there are no concerns for their safety.
