Waitemata Police have launched a homicide inquiry after the body of an elderly woman was discovered at an address in Te Atatu earlier this evening.
The 70-year-old victim was found by family members when they arrived at the address at around 5:30pm.
A scene examination is now underway.
Police are interested in hearing from anyone who saw people or vehicles in Glenvil Lane and surrounding areas anytime during the course of Friday (15 January 2016)
