Dunedin Police are investigating the burglary of Bezett’s Jewellery on George St at 5.40am, Monday 6 July 2015.
During the burglary, a number of jewellery items were taken and Police would like to hear from anyone who may have bought or received the following jewellery from someone other than a reputable jeweller (some images of identical jewellery is attached):
- Diamond Set Pc Cross Pendant
- 9c Yellow gold bracelet
- Curb link bracelet
- Belcher link bracelet
- 9c yellow gold earrings 1bons half round hoops
- Huggie earrings
- 9ct Gold necklace
- 9c Gold fob
- Boccia Watch
Police would also like to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the burglary, or seen anything suspicious around the time of the burglary.
The suspect is described as a male, about 180cm (6 feet) tall, with an athletic build and broad shoulders. He was wearing all black; chunky black shoes - possibly workboots, black crew neck fitted top, gloves, balaclava with a slit over both eyes.
The male is believed to have left the scene in a red motor vehicle and driven north on George Street at a considerable speed.
