Hamilton Police have arrested a man following a string of burglaries in Hillcrest, Hamilton overnight.
At about 11.30pm last night, Police were called to several burglaries at multiple addresses in the Hillcrest area specifically around Berkley Normal Middle School. The burglaries included the theft of property from homes and vehicles.
Following the incidents Police established a cordon in the area and in the early hours of this morning a male was located and arrested in relation to the above incidents.
Police believe there is a strong chance that the offender located may have been responsible for other offending in the area. Anyone in the Hillcrest area who wakes this morning to find property missing from their home or vehicle is asked to contact Hamilton Police on 858 6200.
