Statement attributable to Detective Sergeant Kevin Ford
Gisborne Police are investigating the death of a 26-year-old Tolaga Bay man on the night of Saturday 25 March.
Emergency services were called to a Tolaga Bay address at 11.15pm on Saturday night. On arrival a person was found dead at the scene.
Detectives are conducting an investigation to establish the cause of death and the circumstances surrounding the incident. A post mortem is being carried out today in Palmerston North.
Police have spoken to those who were at the Tolaga Bay address on Saturday night and the investigation is ongoing.
