Police continue to investigate the sexual assault of a young female which took place in Te Teko on the afternoon of Monday the 1st of September 2014 and would like to remind and encourage others to come forward.
Detective Sergeant Anthony Hay of Eastern Bay of Plenty Police says “we would like to speak with anyone who may have been in a vehicle parked in the car park area of Eivers Park adjacent to State Highway 30 on the 1st of September 2014 between 3 – 4pm.”
We are particularly interested to speak with the driver and any occupants of a black vehicle and a light blue vehicle possibly a light truck that was seen parked there during this time said Mr Hay.
“Anyone in these or other vehicles which stopped in the carpark during this time may have information that would assist the investigation and we ask that they contact us. Regardless of how small a piece of information is, get in touch”.
Mr Hay says “We have received good information from the public and I would like to express our thanks to the Te Teko community for the assistance given to the Police investigation team.”
