Four arrested for alleged kidnapping in Northland

Kaikohe Police have arrested four men in relation to an alleged kidnapping of a man from his home address in Kaikohe around 5am yesterday.
 
The four offenders were arrested with the assistance of the Northland Armed Offenders Squad around 9.20pm last night. The victim was found uninjured and returned to his family. 
 
Police understand the victim and the offenders were known to each other.
 
The four offenders are charged jointly with Kidnapping and are due to appear in the Kaikohe District Court today. Further charges are likely.
 
Police investigations are continuing however no further comment is available as the matter is now before the Court.
