The investigations team working on Operation Sabine, the homicide investigation in Nelson following the death of Senior Sergeant Lyn Fleming, ask that anyone with photos or footage of the incident, to please upload it here.
At 9.56am on Saturday 16th January 2015, Police were advised that persons were seen and the sounds of a firearm being discharged from an address in Norana Road, Timberlea, Upper Hutt.
Police went to the address and found four male occupants leaving the area in a motor vehicle. A search of the vehicle revealed a .22 sawn off rifle.
All four occupants are all currently at the Upper Hutt Police Station assisting Police with their enquiries.
The firearm has been seized.
