At about 10.30am today Police were called to a Huntly address in response to a domestic dispute where a firearm was involved.
Cordons were put in place in the vicinity of James Henry Crescent whilst members from the Armed Offenders Squad deployed and searched a nearby property.
The firearm was located and a person arrested in relation to the matter.
The firearm was not used throughout the incident and no parties involved were hurt or injured.
Police wish to acknowledge and thank the community who were affected with this incident.
