Police and other emergency services are on scene at the Devonport Wharf, where a passenger ferry has crashed into the wharf.
Around 20 people are thought to have injuries however at this stage no one appears to have been critically injured and the injuries are in the status 3-4 range.
The vessel is damaged but is still afloat. The cause of the collision will be investigated but early indications are that it is the result of a possible mechanical failure.
Police, Fire and St John ambulance have the situation well contained. A number of people are currently on the boat receiving medical treatment and around 10 have already gone to hospital.
A short media standup will be held on the wharf at 12.40pm sharp.
