Police are in attendance at the scene of a motor vehicle crash on the Owaka Valley Road, Owaka, South Otago.
The crash involved a single vehicle which left the road and struck a grassed bank on the side of the road. The young male driver and only occupant of the vehicle died as a result of the crash.
Police serious crash investigators will be carrying out an examination of the crash scene. Only one lane is available to through traffic until the crash scene is cleared.
The name of the deceased man will be released once next of kin have been advised.
