At about 3.00am this morning Police attended a single vehicle crash on Kakaramea Road (SH 39) just south of Koromatua Road near Templeview.
As a result of that crash a person has died at the scene.
Police are working to locate and advise next of kin. Serious Crash Unit are investigating the scene and this will take some time.
Cordons have been put in place on SH 39 and Koromatua Road north of the crash site and Tuhikaramea road and SH 39 south of the scene.
Police ask for motorists to avoid this area if possible while the scene is processed and cleared. ENDS
