Don’t be fooled by ticket scams

1 min read

Summer tends to be a high point for music lovers, with festivals, big-ticket stadium gigs and outdoor concerts throughout the warmer months.

But Police would like to remind Homegrown festival goers to be aware of ticket scams.

The types of scams vary – the tickets could be fake, you might pay cash but never receive a ticket, or the ticket may differ from what you thought you were buying.

Remember, don’t buy goods like tickets from anyone who you are unsure about, never pay money into another account without verifying who the account belongs to, and lastly – if an offer seems too good to be true, it probably is.

Police have contacted Homegrown organisers, who advise that Tixel is the only official reseller of Homegrown tickets.
