At 9.30am on Wednesday 28th October a truck approaching the Terrace Tunnel on State Highway One triggered alarms because of the trucks height, meaning it was too dangerous to enter the tunnel.
All southbound traffic was stopped causing a backlog on the motorway.
Police are making their way to the area to get the truck driver to pull to the side and other vehicles will then be allowed to continue.
It is expected vehicles will flow again in the next 10-15 minutes and Police will work out a way for the truck to reverse along the motorway so it can safely get off the motorway.
