On Sunday evening the 12th July 2015, Police were notified of the death of a 36 year old man, Edward Shane HEIHEI, of Invercargill.
Mr HEIHEI had been involved in a local game of rugby league and was found unconscious after the game.
Team mates and emergency services administered CPR but he was later pronounced dead at Southland Hospital.
Police enquires are continuing and the matter has been referred to the Coroner.
