Counties Manukau Police are investigating a possible series of bank robberies after three similar incidents in just over a week.
The most recent was at around midday today at the BNZ in Manukau. The other two were at ASB in Botany Junction last Monday (31 August 2015) and Kiwi Bank in Otara yesterday.
In all three cases a man has entered the bank demanding cash from staff. In none of the incidents was a weapon presented.
Police are very concerned about the number of incidents which have occurred in such a short period of time. If you have any information that may assist with these investigations then please contact Counties Manukau Police on 0508 422 443 or you can call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
We want to remind members of the public if they see any suspicious activity, even if it seems minor, please call 111 immediately. Where possible, security staff should be watching out for unusual behaviour in the premises car park and surrounding areas. If a robbery or theft does occur staff should be reminded to be observant, but behave in a non-threatening manner and to do their best to ensure any customers do not attempt to intervene or cause the offenders to be threatened.
