Canterbury Police can confirm that a man has been arrested as part of ongoing investigations into the robbery of a Dairy in Avonside on 8 January 2016 and a Dairy in New Brighton on 25 January 2016.
A 20 year old man is due to appear in Christchurch District Court this morning charged with assault and two counts of aggravated robbery.
Canterbury Police would like to thank the members of the public and Facebook users who contacted them after a public appeal yesterday (26 January 2016).
As this matter is now before the courts Police are unable to make any further comment.
