Police and emergency services attended an incident at a rural property on Andersons Line, Carterton at approximately 10:55am this morning.
A male was found deceased at the property when emergency services arrived.
Based on the information available to Police at this time, it is believed that man suffered a medical event.
WorkSafe NZ have been notified and the man’s death has been referred to the Coroner.
Police’s thoughts are with his family at this time.
Inspector Donna Howard, Wairarapa Area Commander, said Police were disappointed that earlier media reports about this incident were entirely incorrect, and this reporting has added to the distress of the man’s family.
