Waitemata Police are looking for Brad Anderson and have a warrant for his arrest.
The 36 year-old is wanted for injuring with intent to injure and possession of a firearm and ammunition.
This relates to an incident that took place at a property in Whenuapai on Saturday 19 March, in which a woman’s jaw was fractured.
Later that day Police stopped a car being driven by Brad Anderson and he fled. A Police dog handler attempted to track him but he wasn’t located. Officers searched the car he had been driving and found a shotgun and ammunition.
Brad Anderson remains outstanding. He is believed to be using methamphetamine and his behaviour is likely to be unpredictable.
He has an extensive criminal history and is a Mongrel Mob associate.
He is considered to be dangerous and should not be approached by members of the public.
He has previously lived in the West Harbour area.
