Police can confirm the death of a 5-year-old boy after his child's quad bike crashed into a creek at a lifestyle block on Foster Road, Kumeu, on Saturday afternoon.
Officers were called to the scene at about 3.20pm on 20 August 2016.
The cause of the crash is being investigated by the serious crash unit.
A post mortem will be carried out to determine the cause of the boy's death.
Police extend their sympathies to the boy's friends and family at this sad and difficult time.
