Christchurch Police have confirmed that a body found on Rapahoe Beach on the West Coast last week is that of missing Christchurch man, Kurt Millan Green, aged 30.
The body was located on Wednesday 2 April by a Search and Rescue team after a member of the public alerted Police to the possibility of human remains in the area.
The body has now been formally identified as that of Mr Green, who was last seen in the Blaketown beach area near Greymouth, on Sunday 9 March.
The death has now been referred to the Coroner.
