Police are currently in the process of recovering the body of a 32-year-old man from the Waikato River tonight.
Taupo Police responded to reports shortly after 5:00pm that a man was in the water near the Huka Falls.
The man was seen in the river before onlookers lost sight of him.
Coastguard assisted Police with the search for the man, and his body was discovered down river from where he was last seen.
Police Dive Squad are now at the scene and are in the process of recovering his body.
