Arrest for trailer theft

An arrest has been made in relation to the theft of a trailer stolen from Better Rentals in Solway, Masterton, in August.
 
A 31-year-old woman has been charged with theft and will appear in the Hutt Valley District Court on 15 September.
 
The arrest came after a Wellington road policing officer stopped a car travelling on the Western Hutt Road this morning, after noticing that it did not have a valid registration or warrant of fitness.  The woman arrested was a passenger in the car.
 
As the matter is now before the courts, no further information is available at this time.
