Canterbury Police have made an arrest following a dairy robbery in Christchurch yesterday.
A female entered the Worcester Discounter Dairy on Worcester St, Linwood about 1:45pm yesterday, and threatened the shop attendant with a knife, before taking cigarettes and fleeing on foot.
No one was injured, but the victim was understandably shaken.
As a result of assistance from the public in identifying the offender, a 16 year old female has been arrested today in Timaru.
She is charged with aggravated robbery and is due to appear in Christchurch Youth Court tomorrow (Saturday).
Police want to thank members of the public who assisted us with our inquries.
