A 38-year-old man has been arrested in relation to an alleged serious assault on a female who was found on the side of a road in Dome Valley.
He has been charged with kidnapping and will appear in the North Shore District Court today.
Police are not ruling out the possibility of further arrests as the enquiry unfolds.
The victim remains in Auckland Hospital in a serious but stable condition.
As the matter is now before the courts, no further comment will be made.
