At about 3.30pm today a man was arrested with the assistance of the AOS in the area of Three Mile Hill and Dalziel Road near Mosgiel.
The offender was taken into custody without incident a short time after Police arrived.
The 25-year-old was arrested in relation to four outstanding warrants and will appear in the Dunedin District Court tomorrow.
Police want to assure members of the Mosgiel community that AOS was used as a precaution to ensure the safety of members of the public.
