Aggravated robbery at Zabeels Bar in Hastings

At approximately 9:30am this morning Zabeels Bar on King Street in Hastings was the target of an aggravated robbery.

Two males have entered the property armed with a weapon. They have demanded and taken an amount of cash.

The incident has left staff and patrons shaken but thankfully nobody was injured in the incident. 

The offenders were seen to have left in an older style, red, 4-door vehicle at speed along King Street towards St Aubyns Street shortly after 9:30am.

The first male is described as a solid build, approximately 6ft tall wearing a maroon hoody with white circular pattern on the front. He was also wearing black and navy tracksuit pants with a white stripe and skate shoes.

The second male is described as Maori and was wearing a black cap and sunglasses, black jacket and track pants.
