North Shore Police are investigating the aggravated robbery of an Albany bar last night.
At around midnight, two men driving a stolen blue Subaru station wagon entered the Fat Boys Tavern, on the corner of Rosedale and Henry Rose Place.
One of the men was armed with a sawn-off shotgun. The pair entered the bar and then the kitchen area, threatening the manager at close-range with the gun. He was forced to hand over money.
The offenders then fled in the waiting car, which was being driven by a third person, and fled.
The incident was captured on CCTV and investigators are now reviewing this footage.
Detective Scott Wilson, North Shore Police says, "We're hoping someone may recognise the reasonably distinctive hooded-jacket worn by one of the offenders in this photograph. It has a pocket on each side of the chest, is either brown or khaki green, and has epaulets on the shoulders" says Det Wilson.
"This type of offence is fortunately not too common on the North Shore however no-one should be subjected to this type of crime. The victim here is understandably quite shaken after being threatened at close-range with the gun" he says.
Anyone with information is asked to call the North Shore Police on 09 477 5261.
Information can also be given anonymously to the organisation Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
