North Shore Police say a post mortem has revealed that the man whose deceased body was discovered in View Road Glenfield yesterday, died as a result of a stab wound. A homicide enquiry has already been launched.
Detective Senior Sergeant Kim Libby, Officer in Charge of the North Shore CIB says that at 1.35pm on Monday 11 May 2009, police went to an address in View Road Glenfield, after reports a 51 year old man had been assaulted.
"On arrival police found the man's deceased body outside an industrial and commercial workshop. Attending medics were unable to revive him. The circumstances surrounding the man's death is yet to be fully established."

Paul / CHONG
DOB 4/5/1958 - Age 51 years
Resident of Glenfield - Auckland
"A team of 20 investigators are engaged in the enquiry. Forensic staff continued with their scene examination today. Local employees and witnesses are being interviewed and an area canvas of business and residential outlets is in progress."
"Two males are known to have called at the local workshop prior to the arrival of police. They were seen departing the scene in a vehicle believed to be a white or pale coloured sedan similar to a Subaru Legacy."
"I would like anyone who was in the area of View Road, at the time of the murder yesterday, to contact us immediately on 09 477 5000," Mr. LIBBY said.
