A land search will be made tomorrow for a 22 year old student hunter who failed to come out of the hills as planned today.
22 year old Aaron Gamble was hunting near Ashley Gorge area, about 12-15 km from Oxford. When he failed to return by a specified time his flatmate alerted police.
A helicopter search of the area today was thwarted by low cloud. Sergeant Peter Summerfield, Canterbury Police SAR, says six police, two dogs and a number of local Land Search and Rescue volunteers will set off at 7.30am tomorrow in the Mt Richardson area.
Aaron Gamble is Caucasian, 175 cm tall with short sandy hair. His car was located on Glen Tui Bush Road. Anyone who was in that area on Sunday and saw him is asked to contact police.
