Eric Brady an 85 year old Papatoetoe local man was last night attacked in the car park of the Papatoetoe RSA.

Brady had been enjoying a quiet drink in the RSA which is situated along Wallace Road. At around 8.30pm he left the RSA through the rear door which lead straight into the carpark behind the venue.

"The offender then looked as if he going to flee the scene but made a successful second attempt to pull Brady out of the car", Detective Sergeant Vickers said.
