A family who were killed in a car crash in Levin have now been named as 44-year-old Stephen Puketapu, 28-year-old Veronica Skipper and 7-year-old Apirana Kipa.
The crash happened around Tuesday night (17 February) when their Nissan car travelling south on SH1 collided with a truck and trailer travelling north.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
Police still want to speak to the occupants of a small black hatchback that stopped at the scene directly after the crash but then did a U-turn and left. The people in this car may be vital witnesses to the investigation and are asked to contact police.
