Arrest for three dairy robberies

This morning, the Hornby CIB arrested a 27 year old male from Christchurch for the aggravated robbery of three dairies over the last four days.

At 8.45 am this morning, the Police located the male in Kirk Road, Templeton, after the stolen vehicle he had been using was located nearby.

The man has been charged in relation to the aggravated robberies on Sunday 30 November 2008 at the dairies at Halswell and Thorrington, and on Wednesday 3 December 2008 at the Prebbleton Dairy, after all the attendants had been threatened with a weapon and money had been stolen.

The man is to appear in the Christchurch District Court this afternoon at 2.15 pm in relation to this offending.
