North Shore Police are investigating an aggravated robbery at a liquor store in the suburb of Forrest Hill on Saturday night.
Detective Sergeant Adam LOUGH says the incident happened at about 7.30pm on Saturday 13 August 2008. Two offenders have walked into Pupuke Wines and Spirits on William Souter Street in Forrest Hill and threatened the store's two attendants at gunpoint.
"One of the offenders was a female. While she has pointed a dark coloured pistol at the two employees, her male co-offender has stolen a small amount of cash from the till and a quantity of cigarettes. No shots were fired," he said.
"They put the items in a black bag [possibly a back pack] and then ran from the store. Witnesses have reported them in William Souter Street near East Coast Road. They were not seen to get into a vehicle," Sergeant LOUGH said.
Police have detailed descriptions of both offenders.
Female Offender
• Female • Possibly Maori • Late 20's • Medium height 5ft 3" • Medium build with round face - Non European nose • Clothing - wearing white cotton hoodie, [50 cent size]sky blue stars. - • Hood was worn up during the incident • White cotton gloves • Long Pants that matched colour of hooded jacket • White cloth covering face • The Pistol was held in right hand - firearm is 9 inches long • Believed to be semi automatic - not a revolver - • Has black body, possibly grey handle - Pistol looked real
Male Offender
• Male, - • Possibly Maori • Height - about 5ft9" - 6ft • Slim build - has black short hair • Clothing - Dark green full sleeve sweater, Possibly wearing black pants. • White cloth covering his face
Police are appealing to the public for information on these two offenders.
