Community Commodore Stolen From Mount Roskill

1 min read

Auckland Police are appealing to the public for information on the whereabouts of a Black Commodore Community Car which is missing from the Mount Roskill Police Station.

Police say the vehicle is a Project Car which they sponsor for use in the Community Approach programme operating in the Auckland region. The vehicle does not have police logos or signage. It was last seen at the Mount Roskill Police Station at 10. 00pm on Tuesday 15 January 2008.

The vehicle is believed to have been stolen sometime in the period 10.00pm on Tuesday 15 January 2008 and 7.00am on Wednesday 16 January 2008.

The registration number is DZD 565. It is a standard 2007 VE Commodore.

The vehicle was parked adjacent to the youth aid office and was locked in the normal manner via use of the remote. A routine check of all police staff and other locations has established that the car is stolen.

There are no signs of forced entry at the station and the only viable explanation is that the offenders[s] who have taken the vehicle have used a key or other mechanism. The missing car is described as:

Standard 2007 VE Commodore -

Colour - Black

Registration No - DZD 565

Anyone with any sightings or information on the whereabouts of this stolen Black Commodore is asked to phone or contact the Avondale Police Station on 09 820 5700 immediately.
