Sophisticated Cannabis Growing Enterprise Operation Discovered

This morning Waitematä Police conducted search warrants at an industrial premises located at Parkhead Place, Albany.
They there discovered a sophisticated cannabis growing operation consisting of at least 1100 cannabis plants at various stages of maturity and a further 1200 seedlings.
The Waitematä Field Crime Manager, Detective Inspector Greg Cramer says, “The execution of the warrant is part of an on-going investigation.”
“This was a sophisticated cannabis growing operation that used 24,000 litres of water and $5000 to $7000 worth of electricity each month.”
One man is assisting Police with their enquiries at the present time.
