Nelson Bays Police have launched a homicide investigation following the death of a man after a domestic incident in Nelson this morning.
Police were called to an address in the city about 10.45am where the man was found to have received stab wounds. He was taken to Nelson Hospital but died this afternoon.
A woman who had also received stab wounds remains in Nelson Hospital in a stable condition.
One person is in Police custody and will appear in the Nelson District Court on Monday facing charges in relation to the incident.
Police are not seeking anyone else in relation to the matter.
