A large team of volunteers and Police have spent today searching areas near Nelson City for missing woman Ann Sheridan.
Teams have grid searched the area around Wakapuaka Cemetery and the hills to the Centre of New Zealand. They have also searched the areas around Miyazu Park and Whakatu Marae.
The search areas were identified after extensive interviews with friends and family.
About a dozen Police and 32 volunteers were this afternoon joined by a specialist search dog. So far the searchers have not discovered anything to indicate Miss Sheridan has been in those areas.
The search will continue tomorrow in the Grampians and Maitai River areas, which were also indicated by friends as areas of significance to Miss Sheridan.
Police are still appealing to the public for sightings of Miss Sheridan from Saturday.
Senior Sergeant Grant Andrews said Police were still hopeful of finding Miss Sheridan, however he said there were grave concerns for her welfare.
