Farmer Crescent death still a homicide investigation

Police investigating the death of a man in Farmer Crescent, Lower Hutt, say the case is still being considered a homicide.

Michael James Mulholland of Taita was found unconscious in a driveway near his home last Thursday evening. He died at the scene.
A post-mortem was completed today. Police are still examining information provided by the pathologist, says Detective Inspector Darrin Thomson, who heads the inquiry.

Two scenes in Farmer Crescent are still being examined by police and ESR – Mr Mulholland’s house and the driveway. The examination is expected to continue for another two to three days.

An Iwi Liaison Officer is working closely with various groups in the community.

Police are still keen to speak to anyone who was in or around the area between 6pm and 11pm on Thursday night. Anyone with information can contact Lower Hutt Police (04 560 2600) or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
