Schoolmates to be interviewed today

Police have now completed their investigations at the scene of Tuesday's fatal accident at Hector and will today begin interviewing children at Granity School.

Police will conduct video interviews with at least four children who may have witnessed the accident.

Eleven children had got off the bus at the stop on the corner of Curtis and Greenfield Streets.

The Ministry of Education has brought in a specialist team to support the school.

The examination of the school bus involved in the accident has been completed and Police have also conducted a preliminary interview with the driver of the bus.

Police have confirmed that the driver stopped and gave assistance at the accident. Police said the driver has been very helpful with the investigation.
