1 min read

Henderson Police have released the image of a male in his twenties whom they are seeking after a bank robbery in West Auckland yesterday.

Police say that about 3.35pm Monday 6 August 2007, a male quietly entered the Great North Road Branch of the ANZ Bank and demanded cash.

The man threatened a teller in a hand written note then forced her to hand over an undisclosed amount of money. There were few customers in the bank at the time and no one was injured during the incident.

Police say they have an excellent description of the offender from security footage taken in the bank. They have released the image to the general media so that the robber will be quickly identified and arrested. The man police are seeking is believed to have links to two other recent bank robberies in Manurewa and in Wellington. The man is described as:

The offender had a green "DICKIES" bag with a strap going across his chest.
