Police Continue Hunt for Armed and Dangerous man.

Police hunting for Murray Toleafoa in relation to him shooting at a Police officer in Mayoral Drive at 1.00am on Friday morning have located a number of items of significance to the enquiry.

In Mayoral Dr across the road from where the shot was fired Police have located the bullet impact along with fragments of lead. While the height of the impact of the bullet would not have hit anybody the trajectory of the bullet from where it was fired across the road could have.

Detective Inspector Scott Beard stated: "Not only is the Police Officer lucky to be alive, but so too any innocent passer-by who may have been driving or walking in close proximity to where the shot was fired."

With the assistance of local residents in Mt Eden, Police have also recovered a loaded bullet magazine close to where the vehicle in which Murray Toleafoa was the passenger was found abandoned.(See attached photo). (Photo of holster located in vehicle attached).

Police have also released a photo of the female who was with Murray Toleafoa at the time the Police Officer was shot at. (See attached). Nadia Ball is described as a female, Maori, 20yrs old, 177cm tall and thin build.

Police have yet to locate Murray Toleafoa or Nadia Ball. Detective Inspector Beard sends a clear warning to friends, family or associates who may be helping to hide Murray Toleafoa: "There is a warrant to arrest Murray Toleafoa. If people are assisting him to avoid capture, then they will find themselves subject to a criminal investigation and possible prosecution."

Detective Inspector Beard says: "Ideally what we want is for Murray Toleafoa to hand himself into the Police. We will not stop hunting him until he is found."

He also reiterates to the public that should they sight or know where either Murray Toleafoa or Nadia Ball can be located, they should not approach but call 111 or Crime Stoppers on 0800 555 111.
