Blond passenger could be crucial witness

1 min read

A blond woman who was one of up to possibly 10 passengers on the Stagecoach bus involved in the death last Wednesday morning of 53 year-old Rongfa Jiang, could have crucial information for Police investigating his death.

Sergeant Matt Ford of the Auckland City Police Serious Crash Unit says they've managed to locate and speak with three of the passengers on the bus at the time it is thought to have struck Mr Jiang.

"However, those passengers have told us of a woman with 'nice blond hair' who was sitting at the front left side of the bus and who called out at about the time Mr Jiang is believed to have received his fatal injuries," Mr Ford said.

"Obviously we're very keen to speak to that woman and all the other passengers who were on the Stagecoach bus on Dominion Rd, city-bound, last Wednesday morning at 7.30."

Investigating officers have been told there were eight to 10 passengers on the bus at the time, so are urging up to seven others to contact the SCU on 09 359 3111.
